When I entered the portals of Nazareth School, I was amazed by the simplicity of life and lifestyle of the sisters who run the school, their austerity of life caught my attention to questioning and discovering what kind of spirituality they have. I graduated from a Dominican School (Siena College QC) assuming that I have also absorbed at least a dominican spirituality because the sisters who helped me in my formation days and years were Dominicans.
Things have changed when I encounter the Ignatian Spirituality through the Hijas de Jesus Sisters. I was really interested back then when I first enter the school, on what and how to practice the spirituality of the Ignatian which was the spirituality that Saint candida, their foundress have adopted and practiced during her time. I didn’t delve my self into studies about the Ignatian spirituality but I have learned to practiced it through making contact to those people who carries the spirituality.
The style of the Spirituality is very different from my previous one. I have not lost the first nor I reject the new one. I want them both.
